Yesterday was a day at sea on the run from Italy giving everyone a chance to sleep in and recharge from the early full day tours through France and Italy. We all togged up for the first of two formal dinners on ship then another great production show in the Princess Theatre before heading out to the glittering chandeliered piazza for music and after dinner drinks.
Today was Mykonos in the Cyclades Islands group of Greece. Only a half day here as we have another long run through the Greek Islands up to Istanbul Turkey. We will pass by Gallipoli in the Dardanelles about 1045pm tonight so there will be a ceremony for the Aussies and Kiwis as we pass the memorial offshore.
Mykonos is as picturesque as we had imagined - everything is whitewashed and there are 400 tiny churches on the island some only big enough for two people. We spent hours wandering through narrow whitewashed streets with predominately sea blue doors and windows. And cats. Cats everywhere chillaxing. Four cruise ships in harbour but the town catered for us all. So many photo opportunities at every corner. Cool breeze, dockside cafe, crystal blue sea.
