We spent the week before Easter in Hong Kong in an hotel with Rich going to work and the kids and I going sightseeing during the day. It was surprisingly cold but we still had a lot of fun. The kids did an entrance test for school on Thursday and started on Friday. The school is called The International School of Macau and is Canadian with curriculum from Alberta Canada. Stephen is already learning a lot about Canadian geography in a unit on mapping. Stephen is going well in Grade 5 and has made a couple of friends and seems to play soccer at recess and lunch. Hehas found the maths ok, but they are up to 3 digit long multiplication by 3 digits eg. 3...

We spent the day in Hong Kong after leaving Australia - Rich went straight to work and the kids and Cath went to the zoo and the park and caught several double decker trams which were great fun. We had a relatively tiring day as we got to the hotel at midnight local time, which was the equivalent to 3am Sydney time. The kids (not to mention the parents) were exhausted. Will explore Hong Kong more on weekends in the future.
