G'day mates! *Edit* I've actually uploaded some photos.... at last... click on them to read the comments... they are all from South Africa Sorry for the extremely cheesy title, but i'm sorry it just had to be done!! Well we got to Syndey on friday after only a 7 hour flight (quite short for us!!). Unfortunatly Danni got her bag ripped open at the bottom by the baggage handle and the wrost thing ever happened. No she didn't lose money, expensive electrical equipment or even a limb.. it was much worse... she lost shoes! Obviously devastation hit and we seriously considered coming home! Luckily the airline paid for a new backpack and we managed to replace shoes. So they are gone and replaced... but never forgotten! Therefore most of saturday was devoted to sorting that out as well as buying food for the week and just generally checking out the area. Today we took the train down to circular quay... its so weird they have double decker trains! I was amazed! We went and saw Syndey opera house which was fantastic. Did you know they used over 1 million tiles on it and they would cover 4 acres of land! It was crazy! It was really gorgeous down there and it was then we felt we were truly in Syndey.We had a look in a few shops and I've not got my heart set on getting a digeridoo. I think it would look ace in my future classroom, and be a really interesting instrument for the kids to learn to play. They were really expensive to buy down there obviously as it is a touristy area. But we've got 5 weeks here so I'm sure I;ll find one much cheaper along the way. Hopefully the hotel in LA will ook after it when we go on our west coast trek as i dont fancy lugging that around as well as 18kg of luggage! We also saw these boat taxi's down on the key which was a bit crazy.... they were yellow and black like NYC cabs too... it was a bit surreal. Apparantly some girls from our dorm saw Hayley Cropper from Corrie there today too.... now thats surreal. Anyway tomorrow we're going to bondi beach for a bit of sunbathing as we havent actually done any (apart from one day in singapore!) since South Africa.... at this rate I'm gonna come back paler than when I left! So... I'm off to bed now, we had a quiet night tonight and just went to the cinema. I should be able to post some photos now as these computers let me so when i get more net time i will!!
