Well well, haven't i been a naughty girl... I've not written in here for ages!!! I can;t even remember what my last entry was about but i think it was about 2 weeks ago!! Ok just looked back and I wrote the first day of Byron Bay! Well we were only supposed to stay there for about 5 days... .till the friday! Then we ended up staying the weekend as Fran and Lisa (aka crazy devon girls!) who met in Melbourne came up and we wanted to spend time with them. Incidently we ended up having so much fun we stayed the rest of the next week!!! So yeah 2 weeks at the Arts factory! It was funny cos the day we got there was horrible and rainy and i didn't think i'd want to stay! Its amazing what the sun can do and a few crazy ladies!! We also met a lovely girl called Sarah from Norwich so the 5 of us spent the 2 weeks together and went to Surfers Paradise together! I was so sad to leave the Arts factory, it really was the most amazing place! To be honest I can't think of much we did. It was nice just to sunbathe, go to the beach and hang out at the arts factory. We met so many people, it was great. We did hire a car one day and went to Nimbin... that was an interesting day out!! Its like a mini mini amsterdam! There were lots of strange hippies offering naughty cookies!!! I just wanted them to put some bloody shoes on!! It was funny though!!We also went to some waterfalls on the way back which was gorgeous. Me and 2 of the other girlies shared the driving. It was the first time I had driven an estate and an automatic so it was a bit scary at first but i soon got in to it! Surfers Paradise was ok... i felt it was a bit like Blackpool to be honest... a nice beach but very touristy. We only stayed for 2 nights and we had our last proper night out with Fran, Lisa, Sarah and some lads who are travelling with us! So yeah... yesterday we arived in Brisbane. I quite like it here actually, its a nice city centre and there is a really nice man made beach... not the same but good if you live here! Today we went to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary!! Ah it was so good, i actually held a Koala, they really are so cuddly!! Me and Danni wanted to smuggle one in our bags with us. And mum... this will suprise you... I actually actually for real actually held a snake!!! And yes I have photographic evidence!! I did freak out quite a lot but it was and has kind of killed some of my fear!! Anyway... tomorrow we head to Noosa which should be lovely! We have to race up the coast to be in cairns by the 31st..... it was those crazy girls holding us up in Byron!!!! We're also going to try and change our New Zealand flight so we can fly into christchurch instead of Auckland as we are going to hire a campervan for 2 weeks to travel round. It actually works out loads cheaper as the bus passes are much more expensive over there and so is accomodation... so we end up getting a bit of a 2 in 1 job!! Plus there won't be as much driving to do there as there would be here.... and we wouldn't have met as many people if we had done it in oz! It will be nice to do a bit of (careful!!!) driving!!
