Copper Mountain and Colorado in general were beyond amazing. Definitely a state with A LOT to offer! I spent thanksgiving week enjoying skiing and walking through some of the best scenery in the world. Trying skiing really for the first time was great. I was lucky enough to score an instructor that had traded in his corner office 31 years ago and had been teaching uncoordinated individuals how to hurl themselves down mountains on a couple of pieces of fiberglass ...

Definitely Grand! Actually, this place should be the definition of Grand in the dictionary!! After about 4 hours of driving North we reached the Grand Canyon. The first thing I noticed was the dramatic drop in temperature, clearly my decision to wear sandals was a sound one...or not. The second thing I noticed was how vast and varied the Canyon was, each lookout showcases a very different but equally spectacular view of the Canyon and sometimes the Colorado river...

Tacky, touristy and trashy are the first words most people come out with when talking about Vegas, to a certain extent I agree! However, that is part of the charm of the crazy city. We stayed in the Venetian for 3 nights and had a great time. Plenty of restaurants, shows, shopping and of course gambling to keep anyone occupied here! One of the lesser known attractions in Vegas...the people watching! You could almost spend a week people watching on 'The Strip' bet...

After an hour and a half of driving we reached Sedona. Almost out of nowhere the famous red rocks appeared!
