So bad news first, my camera broke and my ipod crashed right before a series of long bus rides.
So, in Honduras, the one bus leaving to Managua was full and i could not buy a ticket. I was in the city of San Pedro Sula the same city and the same bus ride that Choquette infamous bus ride took place. So, i could not get a ride out of the city and the city was probably one of the worst i have ever been to. At the time i was with a British couple who wanted to get on a flight out so i went with them to the airport and we strung up hammoks under the stairs and camped out in the airport. It was a 5 dollar cab ride that had airconditioning.
So at 4 in the morning i was determined to get on that bus and out of that awful city. Realizing where i was at, i slipped the bus driver a 20 and he let me cram on (this has my first but certianly not my last). My trip was long but everthing went smoothly so i will not have as cool of a story as Choquette, that i am sure has gotten him laid 3 or 4 times.
Now i am in Granada, which is similar to Antigua. Here i am studying spanish for two hours and trying to practice as much spanish i can with the hostel staff. I sit by the receponist desk and around the cooks for a couple hours a day. Also, i traveled to the local Universities trying to trade students for English lessons for some Spanish. I have had mixed results but i ended helping teach a small class of English students. There class room is a bench and i white board and five feet from the Dance class music.
I am trying to be as resourceful as possible. I bought peanut butter from the store and eat self-made sandwichs twice a day. Also, i wash some of my clothes in the sink and hang them in the sun. My bar tab gets me. It is relatively cheap but it is an expense. I am going to buy a flask to save on my bar tab.
Cheers, Evan
P.S. do not mind the spelling and grammer erros because i do not have enough time to check.
