Currently, i am in the small town of Antigua studying spanish. In a week or two, i will be heading for Belize and then proceeding south. So far, it was been great. My spanish is improving to where i can actually have some small, rudimentary conversations with people. I am now becoming conformtable starting my conversations with people in spanish rather than english. Belize, however, is english speaking so i do not plan to spend much time there.

I am starting to get attached to the city though. I am trying to hang out with Guatemalans instead of American med students from California as i can. When i hang out with people that do not speak english it forces me to practice my spanish and i believe when you travel, you should try to get the know the local scene as best as possible. This is a short post but at least it is a post. I want to up load some short bits soon.
