On the way home.. Venice - Dubai - Perth. Excited... Going home. ....... THE END.

Our final days are being spent in Venice. Did the gondola rides with the boys playing and singing to us. Walked and walked the streets and little back alleys. Visited St Marks Cathedral with thousands of others. Venice has approx 30 million visitors each year..... Crazy!! But been here now and probably won't be back. Went to Monaro Glass Factory this morning and then to Burano Island this afternoon for a late lunch - known for lace making.... No didn't buy any. ...

A big day of travelling from Amalfi but enjoyable. The bus has wifi so that helps all us oldies keep up with blogs, emails, FB etc....and helps pass some time... Cool weather at the moment so that makes it pleasant for travelling. On our travels today we visited the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Monte Cassino beautifully set out with roses and gardens but a solemn feeling throughout the area. So many young people who lost their lives 1939 - 1945. Over 4000 graves...

Hi everyone We are currently in Maiori on the Amalfi Coast.... Great place. Travelled to Positano for the day. What a wonderful area. Crazy traffic and lots of tourists but lovely to see. Another great day in Roma.... Weather has been great. Trod the cobblestones of many a backstreet, piazzas, and fountains of course the highlight being the Trevi. Went to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. Our group was blessed by a priest at the Sistine Chapel - must have looked a dodgy group that needed some help!!!
