Oh man...if we did no partying in Amsterdam, then we have officially made up for it in Tilburg. one of our good friends from the good old college days now plays in the first division of the netherlands hockey league. great guy, this is our second "swing by" (1 of 4 times we "swing by")...i gave him one of these: "so...i was thinking...since you're pretty central...and we're not going more than a few hours away...how do you feel...

Fortunately, we are not the types to be meddling with drugs, legal or not, so we skipped that portion of the "things to do while in amsterdam". There is definately a lot more to see in amsterdam than expected. we didn't hit up the hard nightlife, but took it easy with irish pubs and smokey hole-in-the-wall bars. but on the sight-seeing aspect of our trip (which can always rationalize a few extra drinks later on), we did see the anne frank hou...
