Quick update. Belongings - Sold, donated, trashed, packed. Work - Done. Halloween Party - Ranchtastic. NY - Done-zo. NC - Made it.

The last 2 weeks in New York were great. Sushi/bar night was a mess, but it was great to see all my local friends, thank you for coming out!

The last 2 weeks at URS were good, I had expected more flack and got a lot of support in my decision to move to Mammoth for the winter. The people in that office are great, I hope to stay in touch with many of them, and wish them all good luck. And I've already gotten some great use of the hat they gave me at the Ranch Halloween Party and with the Maryland state sign.

Ranch Halloween Party was a great way to spend my last night in NY with my skyjumping friends. Definitely good times, good tunes, and good people. I'll miss you guys a ton, so come out and visit me this winter! I know a few of you already have trips booked, which is awesome, can't wait to see you this winter!

Road trip to NC was mostly uneventful. A little rain, a little traffic, nothing major. I was ecstatic though to catch the state sign that eluded me from last year's trip. Maryland. What's up now Maryland?! I made a quick stop in Richmond, VA to visit my friend Sunil, and that was great. Only spent about 3 hours there, but it was time well spent, he's one of the nicest people I know.

Feeling somewhat anxious to hit the road, see some sites, and get to California. But it will be nice to hang here for a couple days. Always great to see my parents, going to visit with Jessica Z later tonight at Raleigh Times, and then catch up with my longtime friend Jenn Ford. All good things!

It's setting in a little that this is actually happening and I'm extremely excited for this adventure, but already missing my friends in NY. Hope to see and hear from you guys often over the coming months!
