There is only so much to say about Phuket... Of all the places I have been so far on this trip, Patong Beach was the place I have liked the least. I am not going to spend much time elaborating about why, but the general feeling of discomfort when walking down the tourist ridden streets, looking at old white men with 20 year old Thai girls in hand, and the hundreds of massage places, packed with massage girls who waves and yells to anyone walking passed, and many other aspects of the way things go about in this town, made me feel sick. All I wanted to do was to leave, so I did.

I told Paul good-bye in the morning, and he flew home to Australia later that night. I knew I would see him again in only one week, and got on the mini bus, that for the first time in the history of traveling was there before the scheduled pickup time!
