After more bloody curry for dinner (the free meal from the airport) and a sleepless (in Liams case) and half sleepless night (Liam kept waking me up!!!) we are both very grumpy on day 2 of our journey and it only got worse! Our flight from Sri Lanka was 2 hours delayed (not alot I know but when you havent eaten properly/anything but curry in over 12 hours this is hell). We then landed in Bangkok 'HOLLA CITY OF SQUALOR' lugged out rucksacks on both the front and back of our backs (pregnant turtles!!!) all the way on the train & subway to Hua Lumpong train station in 34 degree heat to book our overnight train to Chang mai for tomorrow evening... But they had no seats on any trains until atleast Friday! Wahhh! So tried to make our way to our hostel but no-one wanted to drive there, managed to finally get a tuktuk but he took forever even though we cut down one way roads in the wrong direction as the traffic was so bad.

Got to our hostel about 4pm and after a quick shower we made our way out for food that wasnt curry!!! Had our first streetfood pad thai (mine just egg 30 baht & liams 45 baht for chicken) and a spring roll each for 15 baht! So yummy! We then sat and drank changs, singhas and leos until 10pm when we headed back to the hostel for some much needed sleep.

Slept like a baby but was wide awake at 3am again bloody jetlag! Anyway we head off to Chang mai on the overnight bus at 6pm, got it for 500baht. 12 hours on a bus. Living the dream...
