Pokhara (Nepali: पोखरा) is the headquarters of Kaski District, Gandaki Zone and the Western Development Region. Pokhara is also the second largest city of Nepal with an area of 55.22 km2 and a population of 264,991 according to 2011 census. The city is located approximately 200 km west of the country's capital, Kathmandu.
