Last day in Venezuela.... can't believe we're heading home in the morning! We headed to Cumana on the 24th, but didn't make the afternoon ferry, and weren't too keen on showing up in Parlomar at 10 at night without a hotel, so we stayed in Cumana for the night. Ok... so we took off in the morning and started off on buses - one to Valencia, another from Valencia to Maracay, where we went off to find a place to change travellers cheques, where we were subsequently fingerprinted, photographed, etc. Back to the bus station, where we stood in an interminably long line for the bus to Choroni, while taxi drivers walked up and down the line yelling ?taxi, Choroni, taxi, Choroni? over and over again. Hi All! Well, we had a lovely time in Chichiriviche - spent our last full day there on Cayo Pelon... which turned out to be a strip of sand about 50 feet by 20 feet in the middle of the water! Upon seeing that, we asked our boat driver to please pick us up earlier than planned... would?ve been a very long, very hot day otherwise!
