Well, we finally got an exemption to travel from Border force Australia. Both double vaccinated with covid negative tests. We had no trouble transiting through Singapore, or arriving in Paris and then Bordeaux though the airports were spookily quiet with more security and staff then passengers. Quite surreal. I didn't realise how much I hated crowded airports till there were none.

We haven't been able to go aboard Entre Nous yet as the handover is not completed and it is now the weekend. We did walk over and all around the sceurity fence hoping for a freindly guard (on holidays) or a gap in the fence but no luck. We can see her from our hotel window just across the river - looks like she needs a bit of a clean at first impression.

After a good nights sleep we took the very good tram service into Bordeaux centre and had lunch. The people seem to be mostly wearing masks and social distancing somewhat (European style). Having said that there a re people everywhere and all the shops and cafes etc open. We also got sucessfully to Apple (adapters) and a hardware (plugs).

There are a few signs we don't understand (see photos) but mostly my French is holding out with most people wanting to practice theri English once you start.

We ae at the Radisson Blu in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region and they can't manage better than a paper cup in your room for your wine! Probalby trying to encourage their bar and restaurant drinking.!?
