Ems and Steve Travelling
Hey!
I just wrote this whole entry and then the computer lost it so I am not pleased! I will try to remember what I wrote!
So we left Krabi and got the ferry to Koh Phi Phi. Phi Phi was one of the islands badly affected by the Tsunami as it is on the West side near Phuket. The main 'town' that we arrived in seemed to have been built back again. I say 'town' beacuse it it just the ferry port really. There are no roads or cars on Phi Phi so we got to our hotel, Phi Phi Island Village, on the north east by long boat. When we arrived we were greeted and taken to our room. They are very nice bungalows! We sat by the pool for a bit until it rained so we sat on our balcony!
The next day we went on a boat trip to Phi Phi Leh. Our first stop was Maya Bay (in the picture) where The Beach was filmed. Unfortunately there were lots of boats and people there so the scenery was spoiled by nosie and petrol fumes! A lot of the coral near where we stopped was dead and the boats anchor on to it. Very different to Australia - they also feed the fish bread! Our next stop was to have a swim and then eat lunch on a teeny beach. On the way back to the island we stopped to have another swim. Unfortunately the fish mistook Steve's nipple for a bit of bread and nibbled on it! When we got back to the island we sat by the pool for a bit and then had some dinner!
The next day we just chilled by the pool and watched a film in the afternoon. In the evening we went to a Thai restaurant where we had to take our shoes off. There was also a bat circling our heads! It was nice to try the Thai food and the view was great!
The next day we got a ferry back to Krabi. It was pouring it down and we got soaked. The air con on the ferry was really cold so I had to put my jumper on! When we got to Krabi we joined the masses in getting a bus to Koh Samui!
