so we played cards with the israelis which ended up beaing a proper drag because some girl joined in who was impossible to get on with. so we went to bed.

we had an unexpected extra day on the beach because the island tour company turned up at our hotel, stood outside the door but didnt knock!!! what?! so luckily we were able to rearrange the tour for the day after. so on our lazy day we ended up getting a little bit burnt and sitting in a cafe for hours. while we were sat there some lads we shared a taxi with from swansea in bangkokwalked past us- whihc was a bit weird ot say the least. they ended up coming to the bar near our bungalows and playing cards with us and doing some drinking so as to help as avoid the annoying israeli girl>_> so that was fun. more midnight swimming involved.

yesterday:
sooooooo the island tour finally happened and was probably the best day we've had yet. we were with a group of english girls and some boys from california so it was a sociable affair.
first we went to see some big waterfall which apparently the king of thailand visits lots. twas super impressive and hugely refreshing after a really long hot walk to uphill to reach it.
while we were getting our stuff together the tour guide decided to leave me and jess in the middle of the thai jungle. we had no clue how to get back and absolutely cacked it. luckily we came across one of the roads and asked some old german fella on a moped how to get to the beach where our boat was. we ended up finding a way quicker route than on the way up:S but it was terrifying all the same.
next we went to a pretty beach where we just chilled and ate some rice. on the boat the driver was getting high withthe american lads which explains why it was called the munchies tour. and seeing as half of the tour were made up of young families some people where none too pleased. then we stopped at another beach for about 15 minutes. waste of time.
the best bit was when we went snorkeling in a really deep bit of the sea. that was AMAZING because all thefish were absolutely fearless and came right up to your face.we saw angel fish, star fish, and some weird blue ones and lots of coral.it rocked! jess did a wee while we were snorkeling and hte water went all warm which kind of ruined the mood.
on the way back, seeing a i was hung over it was pretty touch and go as to whether i was going to puke because i felt well seasick. i took advantage of the free pineapple (best i ve ever tasted) and whiskey and coke :)
yesterday evening we went to the black moon party which was pretty fun. the music sucked and it was super expesive and the beach was s***ty and chocka block full of pill heads :S like my good self ( jess insisted i added). a girl we met from bristol ended up sleeping in our room because her mate had disappeared in his drunken state and she couldnt get into her room.
this morn i treated myself to a fry up which cured the second hangover in two days:s before we set off on our boat trip back to the main land. we were accompanied by our pals from bristol and a german guy and an indian guy who were hilarious. we then fannied about on buses and taxis and are presently waiting at surat thani's train station for a night traint that wont arrive for 4 hours:( its a proper s*** hole as well.
but never mind. we'll arrive in butterworth at midday tomorrow and will go to penang for a day.

still keeping safe dispite the drinking. now have a little bit fo patchy sunburn but its fading now:)
