on the second we took the bus to Singapore from lumps. cant exactly rememebr how long it took.... im guessing about 6 hours. we got dropped off in a totally random place. luckily we found a bureau de change so we could pay for a taxi to jess' friends place. their appartment was soooo big and posh. they had two kids called harry-6 and grace-4 who were so funny. when we arrived grace was wearing her tutu she wore to be a piggy in her ballet show. harry read a story to me, grace used my make up as face paint(i was a cat) and then their au pair(la de dar), joanne, put them to bed while anna and jim took us out to dinner. we went to the chinese night food market. we ate satay stck thingies, roast chiken and rice and gingery crab. yum!!! we were so full when we finished.

the next day we went to the british club with anna and her friend louise and her daughter as there was a market thing on. we all had extremely low expectations and it didnt dissappoint. anna then took us to the "banana leaf restaurant" in little india which was so cool. we ate loads of curry all with our hands. it was delicious and restored my faith in indian food. that afternoon we walked about 5 miles whilst trying to find the post office where we spent about 25 quid each sending all our crap home. in the evening we put the kids to bed and had a barbecue with jim and anna and drank lots of wine:) i had my first bath of the month and called dad and grandad.

the next day we just packed and hung out at the pool by their flat. we left theirs at about four to go to the airport. we slept one hour on the flight and i watched the film 'australia' to get me psyched. jess got chatted up by some creepy german boy.
