Dear all, Hope you're all well? Ended up getting the bus to Hanoi from Vientiane - it took nearly 30 hours in total (I've could've flown home twice and then some!) it wasnt actually as bad as what I thought it would be. Hanoi is a crazy city, so much going on. The traffic is mental - they dont really have signals or lights and you risk your life just trying to cross the street! The guide book says just walk slowly into the traffic and don't hesitate - yeah try not running for the otherside of the street when a motorbike's about to fly into you!!!! Like a lot of other south east asia countries they eat dog here but Hanoi was the first time I'd actually seen it - HORRIBLE!!!! Spent a few days doing touristy things - it's a great place and just how I imagined it to be but a few days is more than enough!
