After our 28 HOUR!!!! Bus journey from Vietnam to laos we arrived in Vientiane the capital of laos, placed next to the river! It was a very quiet capital compared to what we have been used to in Asia so far!

The bus journey was just a horrible 28 hours with a cramped bus full with people sleeping in the aisles either side of you along with starting the journey with some terrible loud Vietnam music that they refused to turn off ignoring the boos it was getting from all the westerners!
We had a boarder run at 7am in the morning walking in the pouring rain across no mans land to laos getting soaked and having to sit in wet clothes with air con was not fun! Aside from this the rest of the journey was spent on the bus (apart from a couple toilet stops!!) sleeping and doing anything to try and pass the time!

We were very happy when we were off the bus and had finally arrived!!

Spent a couple nights in Vientiane however there isn't much to do here so we just wondered the quiet streets and visited some markets on the day that we did have there and ate ice cream!! Then booked a bus to be onto our next place in Laos vang vieng!
