On Friday morning we got up early, got in our rental car and got on the road.
We headed along the coast road along Sooke to Port Renfew. It was gorgeous there, a very odd sea mist came in and gave it a totally eerie feel, that just made it all the more scenic. The girls had a beer at the hotel overlooking the water and then we got back on the road.
That night we decided to camp out at Lake Cowichen- it took at little while to find it but when we got there we got a site and firewood at a bargain price of $25 so we set up our tent, after a fashion that also included us shouting at a stranger! We decided to treat ourselves to an A & W burger due to us having just salad for tea otherwise. The A & W is the Western Canada staple fast food joint, with all burgers having names of family members, except you know me and so I picked the Moza burger, with poutine, but it was lovely!
We headed back to the campsite, avoiding Babi crossing the road, and had a hour long battle geting a fire started before I stopped a guy walking passed and we played the damsels in distress and asked him to help us. Krista kept her mouth shut, feeling that as a Canadian she should let us brits do the talking!
That night we had our latest night, going to bed at about 11pm!!
