Myself and Kay took a mammoth 5 hours to get to Victoria, one a train, bus, ferry and another bus. When we got off the bus it also didn't help that we went one block the other way and had to back track on ourselves with our 'heavy load' 18k each on our back in the blazing sun.
We got to the hostel and Krista told us she was less than 10 minutes away. When she arrived we got more than a few odd looks as we jumped on her and she backed away mummering "no touchy"
After a swifty bevvy in the hostel and a longer catch up we headed out to a rooftop bar, recommended to us by the hostel staff with me embarrassing the other two by asking "is it cheap"- but just in the hostel, not like I asked the actual bar staff haha!
We ended the night in the Old Spahetti factory (all you can eat bread Tracey, so you know I was happy!) and after 2 pitchers of sangria we headed home, to bed at 9.30pm!!
The next morning we woke at the crack of dawn after such an early night before. A breakfast was hunted down (not that we were feeling worse for wear at all!) and then we went exploring Victoria; the capital of BC.
We first hit up the two markets, Market Square and Bastion Square, we then went via the waterfront to the fancy hotel and to the houses of parliment. It was all very scenic and if it wasn't so hot I could definetly think I was in England! We spent the afternoon on the park getting sunburnt and Kay mapping out the trip for us.
That evening we went to an amazing diner that was exactly like you have seen on TV for years! I had a steak sandwich, that had battered onions and beenshoots in it, it was a taste sensation!!
