Getting to Nicargua and more importantly to Little Corn Island was a journey like no other. hola everyone! we have some good updates to blog now, so here goes..... yesterday (19th july) we had another early start, waking up at 4:30am to be ready for our taxi at 5:30am. we then caught a bus at 6:00am which took a couple of hours to get us to the catamaran. we got off the bus and were instantly hit by the unexpected heat of 9am..smiles appeared on our 3 happy faces. we boarded the catamaran and me and kella headed for the front to lie on the nets whilst...

Today really summed up the Costa Rican idea of "Pura Vida!" We have spent the day swinging through the jungle on zip wires above trees and clouds! The day started when we were picked up at 7.30 in the morning for a two hour drive to San Lorenz. We drove up the mountain to a wooden hut were we were fitted for our very attractive harnesses complete with builders helmet! Today has possible been the most traumatic travelling experience of my life! Picture this. We turn up to the airport, admittedly feeling a little worse for wear having said goodbye to our friends at The Point, only to be told that our tickets are invalid and we wont be able to fly to Costa Rica. The evening of the last day we went to get a snack of chips, garlic bread and coke (part of our enriched diet!) and then met the rest of our group to have a last meal together at a mexican restaurant, where we then had full meals of chicken salsa´s, wraps and pisco sours (trekking can you hungry!).
