Arrived in Quito expecting freezing temperatures due to the altitude (3,000m+) and mayhem at the airport, only to find the airport tiny and empty and the temperature well into the 20's! The airport is right in the middle of the city, its completely mad to go into land and be able to see into office and tower blocks! We got a cab straight to our hotel and went for a wander round the new town. We were surprised to see numerous armed police patrolling the streets...

Sorry that there are no updated photo's - we are having a nightmare trying to upload them. Sure we'll fathom it out eventually! The sun came out on our second day in Lima and we spent the morning in the old town admiring the architecture and some extremely ornate churches with floor to ceiling gold. Hi everyone, Just to let you know we arrived safely after a long journey. We were met at the airport by the lovely couple who run the B&B who gave us shots of Pisco when we got to the house!
