We left Huacachina on a 4.5 hour bus to Lima. Lima is a much much bigger city than what we are used to and it kinda felt like we had left Peru and arrived somewhere in the USA with big main roads and tall branded buildings and a lot of people, but none in traditional Peruvian dress.
We checked in at Pariwana Hostel in an area known as Miraflores and went for dinner nearby at a gluten free vegetarian restaurant. Liv ordered a dish that came with a "gluten free steak of gluten" which made us giggle. We had a wander around and then returned to the hostel to go to the bar!
The entire rooftop of the hostel is open with a massive seating area, table tennis and table football, a bar and loungers - so nice! With it being happy hour we started the night with two Pisco Sours (when in Peru) and started a night of chatting to so many lovely people. We got drunk and met new people all evening, ending the night with a drunken McDonald's before bed, it was fun!
