We went to the beach for the morning for some final tanning and for me - the last day of my 4 months away, the last opportunity for me to lie on a beach as who knows when I will next be away, the last day of freedom before I return home to reality of being unemployed and broke.
It was absolutely boiling as usual and it was a treat to discover that there was hardly any seaweed in Cancun, so we were able to swim in the pleasant turquoise blue waters. I felt so sad to be leaving, and not ready in the slightest to be returning home. I cannot believe this trip of a lifetime is now over.
We left for the airport and once there went to TGI's for a final meal, before shopping around in duty free and buying last minute gifts. As much as I didn't want to leave the prospect of a 10 hour flight seemed quite relaxing, and being able to watch movies would be a treat!
4 months, 8 countries and 50 cities (not including India) later I can undoubtedly say that travelling is a passion and I feel that I have really grown into myself because of it. With a wealth of new experiences and knowledge, amongst friends and memories that will last me a lifetime this trip was unforgettable and I truly loved every second.
