As you can see from the photos, the weather in Coffs Harbour was not good. In fact, it rained constantly for the five days I was there. So much so, that buses were cancelled because the local areas were flooded and the roads were closed. Byron Bay is a pretty little town with nice little streets and beaches. On my first day I wandered round the shops then intended to walk up to the Lighthouse. There isn't really that much to say about Noosa. It's a little resort town with a beach, some fancy shops and restaurants and not much else. I was staying over in Sunshine Beach near Noosa Junction on my first night but then I moved to Noosa Heads as there's more there and it's closer to the bus stop. The only thing really to do in Rainbow Beach is go to Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the world. The majority of backpackers choose to do the self drive tour where, basically, we're given a 4 wheel drive, food, alcohol and tents and then sent on our way for 3 days.
