An early get up was needed this morning in order to change rooms and get breakfast before our big day out! No hassle with either and were pleased we could get some proper breakfast!
A guy from the hotel took us to Tiger Kingdom and we decided to vist the big cats and the new borns!! which cost a little more than we wanted but stil around £20 each! We headed inside and they took us straight to the new borns enclosure! We waited our turn with baited breath and changed into their rubber flip flops and were let in!
They were absolutely B-E-A-UTIFUL!!! big blue eyes stared up at us as we played with them and they seemed to really enjoy human company! They love their bellies being rubbed and they lie their paws in the air! They were a month old and already had developed personalitys and a sense of adventure! They climbed all over us and we were thrilled with them and the way they were kept. We had a photographer take some pics as we were too busy playing to take many! :) We didnt wana leave them and could have been used as a toy all day! even when they had a little nibble!
Next was the big cats ( and they are just like cats! ) they were much more docile and were not bothered by our presence one bit just carried on cleaning and sleeping! Just lik my cat Monty! Summer flower was our first tiger and she was engrossed with chewing her nails! we couldn't get over the size of them and they were still only 20 months old!! After some pics our guide led us to the next one who was named Jackie Chan! ( a great name for a tiger me thinks!) He let us rub his belly and the guide tried to wake him up a bit with a palm leaf but he wasnt one for playing! Next was Bobby who also didnt care if we were there or not, and we stroked him and also felt the weight of his tail! Incredible! Full of muscle and quite heavy too. Our time was up and we had to leave :( but we were amazed at their beauty and looked forward to seeing the pics!!
After a little rest and a cool down our next trip for the day was cookery school! (much needed in Sean's case!) we got taken to the market and spice garden and our teacher/friend explained all about the different ingredients and how to cook them, which was really helpful and also meant we had a better understanding to cook them! We got back and picked our catergories as a group ( about 9 of us!) and we chose; noodles, stir-fry, soup and curry with curry paste. We could all pick which ones to cook so me and sean decided to cook different things and just try each others. First up was noodles and i chose pad thai ( which according to our teacher was the winner!!!) :) Sean cooked pad see uu, which was nice but we agreed the pad thai was better! Next was all the prep for the other dishes which takes longer than actually cooking them! We cooked the next three dishes and then ate them all together and as a group. The curries were brilliant! so delicious and we are definaltey going to cook them at home! I love Panang curry!! The dishes are all quite simple and we were glad we got to eat them! We also got to talk to the group and it was great to meet some other people, but once again we are the babies! (20 is very young apprantley!) Sean boasts his stir fried chicken with cashews was better than my hot basil chicken but we may have to let some of you decide that for us, as we will never agree! :) Asia scenic cookery school is a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our time and cant wait to test out our skills again!
overall a great day and we are very excited for whats next!!!
