We moved from our hotel last night after finding out the reviews are true, the serivce is s***e! Sean went and got two cups of tea for us in the morning, only to have to wait for 15mins for it (as she couldnt be bothered to get up and do it) and she also returned with two cups of coffee, which tasted awful!! O and he also tried to pay for them, she replied "no change!" Ummmm... so we packed up and had breakfast at Nemoland (again!) and got a tuk tuk to another hotel which had great reviews, we got a mountain view for 800 baht with breakfast! The room is amazing! we highly recommend Lanta Mermaid Boutique hotel, the staff are helpful and the room is modern, clean, spacious and comfy!

We asked at the front desk about the 4 island tour that we really wanted to do but he sadly phoned our room and explained that becuase of the weather and it being low season they aren't doing the trip that often! :( Gutted! as this is one of the reasons we came to Koh Lanta! We headed out anyway along the road and discovered that low season means ghost town! Half the shops and restuarants are shut and the beaches are empty! We did find lunch though and it was really nice and cheap and then went to Klong Dao beach, which was a dissapointment. It resembles nothing of pictures of thai beaches and was quite dirty :( Sean said he could of been in wales!

In the evening we went to the nearest town and we also found out it wasnt possible to get to old town where we wanted to go! (nothing it seems is possible here!) The town was small, slightly scary and half closed. They guy at the hotel recommended a place to eat and it turned out to be a good place on the sea front. It was cheap and the food was pretty good too.

Not sure what to do next; whether to stay here and see about the trip or head to Phi Phi!
