Woke at 5am on the train, got off at Nha Trang. Up early. Went to see the Cuchi tunnels that were used during the Vietnam War and were the Viet Cong's base of operations for the Tet Offensive in 1968. Lond day of travelling. Heading to Vietnam. After a couple of hours on the bus we arrived at the border. Couldn'y believe that the one-car wide, dirt track that we drove on took us to an international border. Immigration consisted of two barriers (the sort you get in a car park) and a few rickety huts. It took maybe an hour to get 16 of us through both sides which was really good. Then back on another bus to get to Chau Doc for an overnight stop. Amazing ...

Hungover! Woke at 9ish, had some breakfast and went back to bed. Went to the beach in the afternoon and stayed until the sunset which was amazing. Had some chips and felt a lot better. Sat and had a drink (soft drink for me) with Sian and Sue on the beach in the evening which was nice. Had a shower and grabbed some food. Really nice french onion soup.
