Up at a ridiculous time. Headed down to the MRT and then realised that the stupid machine won't accept anything over a $2 note. Luckily found a lovely man who could see that I was close to tears at 5 in the morning and paid for me. I think he is the only nice person I have met in Singapore in the last 3 days. Got up to the station and on the bus OK. Immigration a bit of a pain, really busy and they stare at you like you are hoarding drugs.

Arrived in Melaka and jumped in a taxi to get to the hostel as I was not waiting an hour for the bus with my heavy had even if it was only 40 cent. Really pretty area although quiet rough. Had a wander around and saw all of the beautiful architecture and walked up to St Paul's hill. Had lunch and a beer and then had a walk round the museums.

Went into one of the shopping malls and I was amazed at the prices and how cheap it has ccompared to Singapore. I have a feeling I am going to be doing a lot of shopping in the next few weeks. Went out for dinner in the evening. No light show on which was a bit of a shame but so tired that I think I need an early one.
