After a tearful goodbye at Heathrow, our big adventure began!

It was very strange stepping off of the aeroplane knowing it was a new day at home for everyone else, because to us, it still felt like the same day.

We managed to find the right taxi to take us to the start of our 7 month journey and were immediately bombarded with 'lookie-lookie' men trying to sell us everything from rooms to tailored suits, shirts, trousers....and even the occasional class a drug! Little did we know this would be an every day occurrence every time we stepped outside!

First impressions of the room - rather small, but very clean. We were given a family room with two double beds for the first night which we were quite happy with. The next day however, we were moved to a room half the size with no windows! Lovely!

Off to sleep to see what the next few days will bring...
