They say 'a new day, a new start'.
I decided to slighty edit this quote so that it read : 'a new month, a new start'. And what a start it was.
Spent the first morning of the first day of the month experiencing what it is like to attend school here in Germany. Let me say, it was nothing different to back home, from the bossy teachers, little groups of friends, the plastic girls, the nerdy boys all the way to the anime geeks, it was the same.
After a short morning at school, a few of the girls thought it would be fun to make pizza. from scratch. I am no cook, as you all know. but I thought, hey what harm can it do. Enjoyed the afternoon attempting to make pizza, quite surprisingly it turned out quite good. We had plans to go to the club that evening and so we began the ritual of preparing to go out. We were to be going to a friends place to pre drink, so we decided to pre-pre drink at Susi's.We began at about 4pm. After many drinks and myself learning new german phrases from the girls such as 'minen titen' (look it up if you dont already catch the drift) we made our way to Janniks house by car. Many more drinks were consumed and everyone forgot their english. So they tell me its not far to the club and we all begin to walk (during the freezing cold) and in my very very high heels. It was a 5km walk. But apprently that is short to them. Ended up carrying the shoes and paying 5 euro for a piggy back. Eventually arrived at the club of which I was told was not very good and small.. Arrive to find that it was amazing, good music, big dance floor, lots of people and probably as good as townsvilles best club... no actually, I take that back.. it was better! Had a fabulous time dancing on the poles and on the floor, left the club covered in sweat, other peoples drinks and god knows what else. All in all, the night was a success. After a quick 4 hour nap/sleep I got up and got ready to go to Hamburg for the day. Once in Hamburg, I fell in love. With the city. It was beautiful, so many shops, so many beautiful people, so much to do! I felt like chaining myself to the nearest tree and refusing to ever leave! Had a great day shopping, and came home on the train with sore feet, hands and a cold nose. Each day I spend in this beautiful country, the more I want to never leave!
I'm off now and am going to...
as the germans would say:
''Die Vorbereitung von mir selbst für eine andere verrückte gute Woche!''
