We got the bus from Malaka to Singapore, which was around the same price as the bus from Ossett to Wakefield but took 5 hours! We immediately got lost in the middle of Singapore in the rain and ended up seeking refuge in a curry house. Eventually we found the hostel, which was where we first encountered bed bugs, although we didn't discover that that is what they were until we got to Australia. We spent a day looking around the shopping mall street and Little India. We went to Sentosa Island, a pristine beach resort island that we took a cable car to. Here we went to the southern most point in continental Asia (all the islands are joined by bridges) and went to a dolphin show. It rained, as it did the next day which we spent shopping! Of course we went to Raffles for our Singapore Slings, how classy we are. They were very tasty, and cost more than our accommodation. A man taught us how to use chop sticks on our last night. Just in time for us to leave Asia!
