Hey hey,

long time no write, been stranded on some island, been such a shame, sun sea sand!! hehe

we went to the island of Phi Phi, you know the one which got hit by the tsunami and where the Beach was filmed. see piccy!!

well got there was raining so bad, but it wasnt a problem what so ever as we were planning on being below sea level most of the time. we booked our course for open water diving 3 days. first day most alot of theory and just going to about 3 metres. my parents found it quite scary, well i shouldnt lie i think we all found it pretty scary with all the bubbles from your regulator going everywhere and thinking your might run out of air or something. after about 5 minutes me and jon were fine and really got in to it, my parents took it abit slower to gain confidence.

the other two days me and jon got to go out to 18 m etc..on some world class dive sites, so very lucky. saw an octopus which im chuffed about, and turtles (one had a flipper missing and kept bumping into rocks hehe), plus plenty of fish obviously. did all our skill tests and a swim test which meant we had to tread water for 10 minutes, well done to jon for managing it!! (hes quite happy with himself so everyone give him a pat on the back )

once we'd finished (might i add we scored the highest ever on the final exam, well the highest our teacher has ever had) we spent the other few days sitting on the beach as it was perfect weather. we went snorkelling at Maya bay the actually bay from the 'Beach' watched the sunset off a boat, AND.... went rock climbing yipeee. i miss rock climbing so much, we really got into it, amazing scenery and perfect rocks for us. shall get photos on asap!!

but yeah thats the end of our little holiday in the middle of a year long holiday. now back in Bangkok and my parents fly home on firday. then we will go on to Loas vietnam and cambodia!! fun fun fun xxxxxx
