Another day with lots of driving. the last two days we have seen way to many roadkills. kangaroos, snakes, wallabies, reptiles, rabbits, etc. it's really not a pretty sight to look at half a kangaroo at one side of the road, but the rest greased well beyond the asphalt on the other side.Blood and guts everywhere. many of the ones that hit a kangaroo don't even bother going out and drag it to the side of the road, so it lying in the middle of the road for everyone to hit. its not much you can do if a kangaroo decides to commit suicide infront of your car. most of them is hit and run.

I forgott to write about the nature we drove through yesterday. it reminded me a lot of images and documentaries about Africa. the only thing missing was the animals. if you could have replaced cows with elephants and the sheep with giraffes that had been something. hehe ..

Today, however, mostly open fields with trees on either side. really boring when thats the only thing you have seen for hours. we took the shortcut from Wave Rock to Kalgoorlie, and saved 3 hours in the car, but after an hour from Wave Rock it was no more asphalt. because we really do not have permission to drive on the dirt road we drove very slowly. It was good for us anyway since we saved 3 hours. The trip was supposed to take us 8 hours. we stopped in a town called Southern Cross to buy food.

we arrived Kalgoorlie at 2PM. we drove around and looked for a caravan park using my iphone as a map (gps). we followed everything it said, but ended up in a street full of houses, no caravan park. so we drove around to find another one. when we at last found one, we was so happy that we could use the pool there.

the car turned in to an oven pretty fast since we didn't get a spot in the shade. So we pulled of all our clothes and jumped in the pool for a while. we have desided to travel from here to Norseman tomorrow, since its only a 3 hours drive from here. then we still have time to go around town here tomorrow and look at everything Kalgoorlie have to offer.

the rest of the day we played games and used the internett. we are really tired after a long drive. i'm going to bed soon. the showers here is quite creepy so i'm going to ask Ray if he can be my bodyguard when I take a shower soon.
