We woke up at 7-8 today. I took a shower, but forgot my towels in the car so I had to wipe myself with my clothes. I got soaking wet back to the car. Clever me that had everything I needed ready at the bed, but managed only to grab with me what was at the top. hmm .. We didn't want to make breakfast today so we bought juice and sandwich with bacon and eggs which we ate in the car while we continued heading towards the Nullarbor Plain. Something you really do not want to see while you are eating is kangaroos smeared into the road. You try to turn around, but the eyes have become attached to it so it does not help to turn around. Felt pretty sick afterwards. The plan today was to just drive to Eucla to eat up all the fruits and vegetables, and camp there for the night, but when we got there they told us that they do not check the car before we're going to Ceduna in South Australia, so we decided to drive on.
While we were in the Eucla we took some time to walk around and take some pictures. It was really nice there, we could see the sea from the garden at the Motel. On the way to Eucla, we were forced to fill up with petrol from one og the petrol cans as the fuellight began to shine and we forgot to refill in Cocklebiddy. Not long after we drove past a gas station where there was a wild emu walking around. It was fun. When we got closer to Eucla we suddenly something white sticking out of the trees and it took quite a long time before we realised that it were sand dunes and beach we saw. Soon after so we the ocean. It was certainly a very beautiful place to take a picture of at the garden in Eucla. (at the shore not Eucla garden) On the way back to the car we found a large sculpture of a whale that we just had to take a photo of. hehe ..
We decided to drive over the border between Western Australia and south Australia and go to a place called the Nullarbor Roadhouse about 2 hours from the border. When we got there it was still sunshine and Ray suggested that we should move on to the next stop. because of that there was even another couple of hours with trees and desert to stare at. When we finally got there we would camp for the night, they had closed the entire park, no food, no people and no petrol. It was a ghost town. because of that we had to continue until we found a place we could sleep. We were very tired after driving so many hours so it was not fun to think that we had to drive on for another hour before we arrived at the next stop. At that last drive began Ray began to play a game, something I did not know about. He did not answer me with words when I spoke to him and I got so mad at him because I thought he ignored me. He just mimed and pointed at things. When he finally explained it (using the phone) he said he needed a kiss, but because I was so pissed off and annoyed, I would not give him a kiss, so he continued to be quiet until I kissed him about 10 minutes later. Then he told me that it was Aboriginal magic, Chocopa, that had been thrown over him so he could not talk until he got his life's love, to kiss him. He made up for by making dinner for us. The rest of the evening I read my book, Ray has played Pocemon. Might be time to sleep now?
