we didn't get up before 9:30 am today. It was pretty stressful because we had to check out at 10 am. We drove around to find a gas station and buy mobile money before we headed to Portland in Victoria. We drove and drove and drove before we got into a very beautiful part of South Australia that reminded a lot about Norway. Many hills and flowers fields, followed by large forest full of spruce trees. It was like driving to Finnskogen. And best of all was that it was Ray who thought it first. Just before that we saw a sign that said we had to be careful on the road because the koalas crossed the road here. It is the first time I've seen a sign with a picture of a koala on it so that was fun. We stopped and ate lunch after about 4 hours on the road. Outside, they had a HUGE sculpture of a lobster. The food was good and the prices were not so bad. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse.
It has been really crap weather all day so we decided to stop earlier than planned to camp. It was getting late aswell, so it fit well. It only going to be an extra hour to drive tomorrow. We are now in Mount Gambier on the border of South Australia and Victoria. We are going to stay here until tomorrow before we start to drive the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne. We are going to watch 'Surfs Up' before we go to bed. good night!
