What a day!! We had to sneak out from the dorm at 5 am this morning.. We locked our bags in a luggage container, before we got picked up for the trip of our lifetime.. We are going to cover over 1500 km in 3 days.. The trip from Alice Springs to Uluru campsite took 6 hrs, with 3 stops.. We had breakfast on the way as well. When we got to the campsite, we made lunch and took a break. Then we was heading for Kata Tjuta or The Olgas as its better known as for us non aborginies. Parts of the path was closed because of the heat, so we went to another place instead. We took a lot of nice pictures during the whole day. On the way back to the camp, we stoped and watched the sunset over Uluru or Ayers Rock. We are going to explore more of Uluru tomorrow. When we got back to the camp the tour guide made dinner for us. On the menu was camel, steak and salad. Ray and the tour guide surprised me with a small birthday cake, and everyone sang happy birthday to me. It was embarassing but nice. Its been a long day so its going to be nice to go to bed. Something we did not know was that we where going to sleep under the stars. :) its going to be so cool. I'm falling asleep now.. Good night! Its been a great birthday..
