Today was one of the best days of our lives, specially in Emelie's. One of her big dreams came true today, to witness the majestic Grand Canyon. We left Navajo early this morning and arrived at the Grand Canyon around 1pm. Today we switched cowboy life to Indian life. We went to a place called Navajo ( pronounced NavaHO) where a clan of native americans still live. We arrived around 3pm and they took us on a two hour guided tour in Moument Valley where we got to see some really nice mountains and spires from "broken" mountains. It had almost the red colour like the one we saw in Australia, cool. At this time we were really hungry and cold so it felt really nice to go in to a Hogan...

Today we left the snowbird area ( snowbirds are old people who emigrate to the warm south during their cold winter back home) and traveled to a cowboy camp called Betty and Rusty's, named after the owners. It was really cool to travel in to desert landscape filled with giants cactuses, like the ones you see in old western movies. When we arrived we had a quick look around before dinner. Today we left San Diego to travel into the land. We took off around 8.30 am and arrived in Quartzside around 4pm. The bus trip was fine, saw some cool mountains along tho way. We were under time pressure since we had a game game to catch, it's Superbowl Sunday! New York Giants Vs Patriots, so we're sitting in a bar with a drink and it's soon time to order some American pizza. It's commercials every 30 sec, damn. So it will be an evening in American style!

None of us slept really well last night, we were a bit cold and not quite comfortable. But we did get some sleep. After breakfast, Mike dropped those of us who weren't going to sea world, off in La Jolla (pronounced La Hoiya) where we hired bikes and bicycled round the bay. It was great!
