Spent a wonderful 3 days in Iceland with Laura, Ben & Katherine. I knew my trip was off to a good start when I bumped into Sir Ian McKellen and Richard Wilson at the airport! I didn't get a photo but I did have a little chat with Sir Ian and managed to blurt out "I'm going on an adventure" when he asked me why I was going to New Zealand (stay classy, Emma). The rest of the trip was brilliant too. We spent a day wandering around Reykjavik, taking in Hallgrims...

My last week in the UK was a toughie but a goodie. Said goodbye to my family on Weds, my Solihull peeps on Friday, and then rounded it off with a big ol' fancy dress send off with my Birmingham and Northampton lovelies. I thought it fitting to kick off this blog with Laura's amazing pic from Saturday. Tears were shed, Jagermeister was consumed, and awesomeness ensued. Thanks for the amazing send off everyone!
