Hi Emma & Fuzzy
Recieved the birtday card when I got back from Cyprus thanks it was lovely. It was a shame that you both missed the party. It went very well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
I was up at 5am to start preparing the buffet. I was nervous all day I was worried in case hardly anyone would turn up. Thankfully I need not have worried because it was mobbed.
Esme done the baloons and they were realy lovely.
Got another nice surprise Ian & Shona got married when we were in Cyprus.
Stephen leaves for North Africa today he is away fot 8 weeks.
Craig is leaving Pinneys he has got a job working with Ian and Andrew Barnes.
We had a great time in Cyprus David and Moira was there too.Marco & Bales did not know they were coming. At my party they told Marco & Bales they were going to Blackpool for a few days. You should have seen there face when they arrived in a pub where we were having a drink. They were in a Hotel next to ours so we met them in the evening and we all went together to the Restaraunts and the bars.
I liked you photos of the Bunjee Jump you would not get me on the bridge never mind jumping of it.
Can`t wait till your next Journal entrie to read what adventure you get up to next.
Both of you take care.

Sorry not wrote for a while as I know your e-mail has been down and not receiving text msgs either so i thought i would give the blog a bash.
Very impressed at the bungie jumping adventure both of you, especially you emma think most girls will be envious of your courage.. couldnt do that if my life depended on it although what a great achievement it would be.

Had a great night at Lanya's party although you were missed, it was a really quick nite but enjoyed by all i think, very busy - (you know that Lanya - she talks to everybody on her daily jaunts ha ha).

Hello from the festival city!!
Em I am astounded & full of admiration that you did a bungy jump. I can only imagine the feeling of terror that passed through your mind before that leap of faith. I know I couldn't do it. I'm actually debating with myself about going paintballing with the guys from the shift cos I'm such a woose, I definitely get worse as I get older. I can't help it though, I keep thinking of Byker Grove and PJ being blinded in the horrific freak paintball accident, I mean it could happen, couldn't it???
Life here is manic! Work has been crazy with the heightened security state and the Festival, I haven't had time to draw breath. Did a couple of shifts at the airport and met some lovely people who had been forced to alter travel plans last minute but were mostly accepting of situation. Believe it or not the staff were the biggest pain. Most upset they couldn't take their bulging make up bags through security.....meeow
Went to a couple of shows in the festival with Donna and had a good time. Met Jimmy Carr in the bar at the assembly rooms and he was really nice. Also was breaking up a fight between jaikies at the East End and the American lassie that was on the celebrity slimming thing ( black hair, red lips) on ITV asked me if I wanted a hand. Thought it was very gracious of her but explained through the flying hair and buckfast bottles that it didn't really match up with any health & safety risk assessment I was aware of.
Have been working loads of overtime, to try and boost the bank balance after my hols, cos they're so short at the moment, but Sam & Sean are going to Prague for the second leg of Hearts EUFA cup game so most of it is going into paying for that. It's Sams 20th birthday (I feel so old) while they are there though so it is a present.
Working at Craigmillar tonight for o/t too, it's the fireworks tonight so expecting to be busy although hoping to find a vantage point in Holyrood Park that I can watch from. The beauty of fireworks make me cry mind, so I'd better make it a solo event.
Love Island has just finished Em and it served as a constant reminder of your absence. No-one to share my drunken observations of the beautiful people with. I was chuckling to myself when I remembered how excited we got about it last year, late night phone calls & analysis, pair of nutters!
Glad you managed to indulge yourself with some girly pampering while the boys played. I'm thinking of celebrating my 40th at Stobo. You can hire a lodge there, that sleeps twelve, so could be a nice girly retreat to break myself gently into the next decade. Anyway babes, enough rambling for now. Missing you loads & so glad you're having a brill time,
Speak soon. xxxxx
Theresa,ross And Millie-Ann
Info for Esme for nose bleeds - pinch bridge of nose firmly for 10 mins and tip head back slightly and apply ice pack to area if severe. Check if person on Warfarin if yes may need INR check. Otherwise yes phone back in 10 mins so quite correct. Good luck with new job!
Theresa,ross And Millie-Ann
Bloody hell, I take 2 weeks off from emailing and suddenly everyone is sending messages to you again. Bout time too as they have all been neglecting you. At least I am a true nonstop emailer. Take heed everyone! In fact think it is 3 weeks since I emailed last. No time at work at the minute as my consultant is on a months holiday and I have to cover for him as the hospital are too tight to arrange a locum consultant. So it has been go,go,go and I,m amazed at how useless othr doctors are, having been called to wards to take bloods, put venflons in, advice on medical procedures and blood results etc coz they can't manage! Not even for our patients either. Mind you it is the killing season - Junior Docs that start hospitals in August are straight out of university and generally have no clue of what they are doing, which does put the onus on us nurses to watch their backs. Your life in our hands eh? That's the NHS for you. Always trust the nurses and be wary of the docs is my advice.
Saturday morning. Ross is on the post and Millie is still asleep. We have her swimming lessons at half ten so she'll have to be up soon. She can actually swim with her armbands on now but tends to just want to jump in the water from the edge. She has no fear and is quite a rebel in the class refusing to do anything Andrea and I try to coax her to do. That will be Carol-Anns stubborn streak she is developing! In fact she reminds me of Carol-ann in many ways!! Mum says it's because I treat her the same as I did Carol-Ann so its my fault! Mind you Carol didn't turn out so bad.
Millie is now awake and having breakfast a combination of cornflakes and coco pops with a cup of Tea. She is a wee tea jenny.
Paulie and Leannes wedding was very good. I managed to maintain my composure this time and did not partake in any flashing. Although I did discover the joys of aftershocks and sours and managed quite a few of them in the evening. They are very nice and am pleased I have discovered new drink that I can manage!!! Had many dances with Scotty as nobody else was willing and he kindly threw me around the floor whilst his kilt swished here, there and everywhere. Susan (who introduced me to Sours) says he is missing Fuzzy terribly, so it was a nice male bonding day for him. In fact the boys (this is including Sem who was leading the way) were actually doing air guitar to guns n roses at one point (we have photographic evidence). Sems speech was brill and after the first laugh you could visibly see him relax into it. The setting was gorgeous and the weather good. So all in all everything was grand. Very poignant moment when they read the cards out at the reception. One from you two and then one from James and Ang, so I felt a bit sad then but the alcohol helped cure that. We had Nana Peg on our table who had a fab time and we encouraged her to drink lots. Have a lovely pic of her with Sem.
Last Sunday was bank hol so I was out with Lynne Kirkwood and the Aitken girls and Kelly for an afternoon session which lead to an all day session. At one point I refused to leave the Anglers as had commandeered the karaoke (thus an indication of how drunk I was)Having staggered up the road at god knows what hour I think about 11ish I discovered I had no key to get in and the battery on my phone had been flat for hours. I then spent 20 mins ringing doorbell and banging on door to no avail (Ross sleeps on his good ear so consequently nothing wakens him). It was pouring with rain and I had skimpy jacket on. At one point I thought was going to have to sleep in greenhouse but had brainwave to go to Back of the Hill phone box! Probably the first time that's been used for utterly ages! So after ringingthe house and Ross mobile several times a very disgruntled Ross answers to tell me spare key in usual place! He had also text me this but as phone was dead how would I know. Naturally had to do a lot of grovelling next day!
We are off to centerparcs a week on Monday. That will be our proper hol. We were going to go to Hebrides to see Sid n Co. but didin't think Millie could cope with 7 hour drive and 2 hour ferry ride. She would be stir crazy! So we're going to Penrith. Can't wait. Ross has booked up for all dare devil activities (high ropes, 3G swings, scuba diving etc) and I am booked up with Millie for pizza making factory, magic mammals and toddlers dance party. Ross pointed out I could do aerobics everyday and get mega fit, but why would I want that on holiday??? Am doing horse riding and fancy the archery so think that's exercise enough thank you.
Anyway must go ang get ready for swimming. Happy skiing/boarding etc. Safe travelling. xx
Kath & Brian
Hi guys,
had a fab time in Bulgaria 38 degrees, Bri nearly melted. Boys had a great time messing in the swimming pool. Such a shame to have to come home. Joe Carol & the baby are down staying at the moment, having lovely time. Snow looks great, going to print some of your gorgeous beach photos, I can dream that I'm there!
Keep writing, lots of love, Kath Brian & boys.
