Surfers Pardise in an apartment by the beach! Sunshine, sea, sand and soccer!!

After a great trip up North, I returned to Toowoomba and made it my home for 6 weeks! Its was awesome, a fantastic place with a friendly atmosphere and planty of sports to take part in! Australia is a real outdoorsy country, they love their sport and everyone has an interest. If you dont there wouldnt be much to do! It was great to be around sports people in Toowoomba and I was given loads of opportunities to play both Netball and soccer!

I worked at The Glennie School, an all girls school, as a sports coach. It was a great experience for me to develop my coaching and teaching in a different environment. The girls here actually wanted to be at school!!!

During my time in Toowoomba I played for Toowoomba raiders, the womens soccer team. It was a real challenge of my fitness to play in 35 degrees! I think I came through it alright and made a small impact! They are a great team filled with some really nice girls. i was slightly shocked to be the oldest player on the team!! At 26 I dont feel old!!

Toowoomba would be a place Id go back too, there arent many in Australia, but Toowoomba had something quite special. I was made to feel at home!

Challenger Sports Easter Camps were next, first stop melbourne! I fantastic week (somewhat cooler than Ive got used to) great kids and awesome family. I'll head back to Melbourne for a while and catch up with them as I had alot of fun! This week it was the Gold Coast camp, very different! Better weather, but the kids were horrible!!! Rude with poor attitudes!! I used my teacher voice more than once! But on a posistive note I stayed in a beach side apartment!! A dip in the sea to finish the day, so no complaints!!

Coaching with Challenger has been a great way to travel, and it opened up so many doors for me! I have really got emerged in Aussie living and developed a greater understanding of what life is like over here.

Next stop Byron Bay, followed by Sydney! Im excited!!
