Ellie's Travels
After Sydney drive 100km West and arrived in the Blue Mountains, the scenary is breathtaking and a vast contrast to the city.
Decided to save abit of money and are camping at a free site. We have to drive 10km down a dirt track to get to it. Its really secluded took abit of getting used to, but is beautiful. The national park have supplied wood and metal cylinders so we can have fires, which we have taken full advantage of as it gets really cold at night. Last night we toasted marshmallows.
Have done some stunning walks. Yesterday looked at the three sisters rock formation. Then we decided to climb down the mountain face down 927 steps. Then we had to come back up it was a killer, we looked a proper state when we got to the top.
Today we went on a walk called the Grand Canyon, which took us through rock tunnels and in between crevices. Loads of beautiful scenary.
One more night of camping, need to have a shower, the site only has toilets. Its like being back at Glastonbury Kate, heating water on the stove to wash.
Heading south to Camberra tomorrow and will stay on an official camp site.
