I know its been a long time, again but its 2.30am here and we're exhausted so i'll have to be quick! We arrived in Malaysia on the 12th and after getting off the plane we headed straight for a cashpoint as we had no malaysian currency! Thats where we found out my bank had decided to block my card just incase it was being used fraudulently! Tom managed to withdraw a small amount off his credit card though and we found a bus to take us to the city! We walked around the bus stations and got a tube with all our stuff, (quite amusing, considering we had no idea about malaysian transport!) Any way we managed to find a hostel, a little rough around teh edges and quite a few cockroaches and mosquitos, but lovely lovely people! luckily they said we coud pay when we had some money! It is soo humid here it is ridiculous but theres nothing you can do but sweat it out and visit as many air conditioned shopping centres as possible! We headed out to have a look at china town, which is where our hostel is, it was incredibly busy with food vendors and millions of market stalls and shoppers and beggars! We didnt get dinner as 1. we had no money and 2. it was way too hot to eat! We headed back to our hstel and had a late night watching the euro fotball! We managed to awake early enough though to go and qe for the free tickets to go up the petronas towers! They are outstanding! Seriously they are so tall! Despite being there at 8.50am the eartliest ticket we could get was 6.30 pm! So we headed back towards our hostel and to find a HSBC (the worlds local bank! haha) to get them to unblock my card! We were glad for the air conditioning when we got there but not so pleased to hear they had no access to the english system and they suggested we found a phonebox and called the number on my card! After a few words however and explaining we had no money to use a phone box she eventually let us use her hone and the card was unblocked in minutes! We had money to spend! So we headed off around the city on their Light rail system! It's fantastic each journey sets you back about 10p and its very reliable, regular and clean! Where does england go wrong, huh? Eventually it was time for us to go up the towers and they were fantastic! Whilst tom marveled at the construction, the glazing andthe sheer height i took in the views! We were tired so headed back to china town for some fantastic chinese food! Today we took an adventre to a theme park some friends we met in Thailand recommended! We got on a train and then a bus and travelled quite a while not sure quite where we were going to find a HUGE shopping center with theme park attached! i mean HUGE! The park had a built in zoo with tigers and monkeys and an avery and a ginormous man made beach, a water park, amusement park, theme park and horror park! (Very Very scary! Live actors in the dark following you and jumping out on you!!) We had a great day and im sure you'll hear all about it very soon! Tommorow we have to sort ourselves and pack and we're getting another overnight train down to singapore! Sve on hostels there! We'll be home soon anyway so im going to go to bed! Love to everyone, Ellie and Tom xxx
