Slovenia is a tiny little country - it's going to take me 2.5 hours to travel half way across! I woke up this morning bright and early because I had to catch my bus at 8:00am! The bus ride to Piran was very quick! It's a really beautiful little costal town with a strong Italian influence! You can see Italia from the mainland of Slovenia! I made it back to the Adriatic sea!! :) When I arrived I walked around the town and walked up to the castle and the old walls and explored! On the point of the cliff there is a church - it looks like nothing special but inside it is magnificent! I didn't expect it to be anything special! There are beautiful paintings on the roof and beautiful statutes on the walls. I couldn't fully relax and enjoy my beautiful surrounds because 1. My clothes from the wash weren't dry so I had to wear jeans and it was hot!! 2. I forgot my swimmers :(:( and 3. All the stress from home caught up with me!! Dealing with ending the lease, looking for somewhere to live, having to move home - 3 hours away from uni and Simon, interviews with the department (I got an email for an interview time!!), having to put together my portfolio and remember everything for the interview, having one week to clean and move house, dealing with the fact my car has been crashed and trying to find out if the person responsible is going to fix it and finally having to quite all my jobs because of my internship and travel which means I need to find work when I get back on top of everything else. Arghhh too much to deal with being 26 hours away! To try and relax and calm myself down I went to a cafe and got a drink and wrote everything down on to a piece of paper until it had made sense and I had figured everything out! Finally, I had heard back from home that my car would be fixed, the house was sorted and slowly I started to feel much better and everything was starting to fall in to place. Before you knew it my time had come to go home and I hopped on the bus back to Ljubljana! When I arrived I went back to the hostel to make dinner when I found that my pasta sauce had been used, but the people responsible were kind enough to leave me 1cm of sauce in the bottom and leave it in the fridge for me. I took a deep breath and calmly walked in to town to find a supermarket! Along the way I found a Internet cafe and went to check in for my flight and print out my boarding pass. Finally, I had found a supermarket and it was closed! I gave up completely and walked to McDonalds sat myself down and indulged in a Big Mac meal. I then wandered back to the hostel, popped my jammies on and crawled in to bed. I had a throbbing head ache from too much thinking and stress! I started talking to my room mate and before you knew it I was rambling and every drama back home was spilling out! It was exactly what I needed, a good listener and some to tell me it was all going to be fine and in weeks to come I can look back and laugh! I felt so much better!! I hope tomorrow is a much better day - I'm off to Bled! I have been looking forward to this for months and months!!
