It's Simon's last day in Europe!! :( I don't want him to go! This morning was overcast so we weren't woken up by the morning sun which was a nice change! We still managed to get up early because it was so hot! We got ready and walked down to the strip in Lapad bay where we had breakfast and had a delicious omelet! We both needed Internet so we walked down to the port and went to the Internet cafe. Simon had to check in for his flight and I had to book my ferry and organise accommodation! After our hour was up we walked outside and the skies were blue and the sun shining! We decided we'd spend the day at the beach! We went to the supermarket and picked up some rolls and meat and went back to our apartment where we had lunch before walking down to Copacabana beach. We stayed there for a few hours relaxing in the sun and then we caught the bus in to town! We had planned to do a twilight sea kayaking tour, however the ocean was too rough and it was cancelled! We were a little disappointed but didn't let it ruin our afternoon! We wandered through the old town and found our way to the Old port. The ocean was really rough and the ocean was breaking on the wall and splashing everyone standing around! It was really funny to watch - especially people completely oblivious to what would happen if they got too close! After a while we wandered back through the old town and made our way to the bus stop to catch a bus back! Before heading out to dinner we sat on our verandah and had a cider! As night fell we walked in to town and wandered down the strip. Last night we found a restaurant we wanted to save until tonight so we walked down and got a table for two by the ocean. We ordered a mixed grill for two and a bottle of red wine. The view was beautiful as we watched the sunset and the sky turned a beautiful orange colour as we enjoyed our wine. The main came out and it was delicious! It had grilled chicken, beef, pork, lamb and vegetables and potatoes! When we started our main a band started in the background - it was beautiful traditional music! Simon and I ended up buying the CD because we knew it would remind us of our time in Europe! :) I couldn't resist desert so I had chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice-cream! Yum, yum, yum! We were both extremely happy with our dinner! It was beautiful and romantic :) After dinner we went to a small bar and had a cocktail before heading home! We had to be up early to catch buses and ferries! I didn't want the night to end because I knew Simon had to leave and I'd be alone for the next 10 days!
