When we got to Hue we went straight to back packers and stayed in a dorm there we got there early afternoon so we put our bags in the room and went straight out, when we walked about 2 mins up the road we had 2 'easy riders' come up to us and ask us if we would like a tour of Hue on a motorbike so we thought why the hell not and jumped on a bike each with our own driver and they took us to temple ruin place (have forgot the name) where the emperior used to live with all his wives and where they are all buried, it was a really nice place with beautiful buildings and nice grass areas. We spent about an hour there and then hopped on the bike again and drove to a temple where we saw a few monks so we had a walk around there for awhile and then hopped on the bike again and we went to the war museum where we saw tanks and airplanes from the war which was good as it was free!
After that we went to a market which was crazy, they sell 100's of everything and anything you could ever think of so we walked around there for awhile and as we were starving by this point we got a taxi back to our hostel and went for some nice western food and then we booked the DMZ tour which left the next day at 6.00am.
So we got up way too early 5.30!!! and met down stairs at the hostel for breakfast and then we got off to go on the tour, we really enjoyed it!! its mainly being on a mini bus but we had a really cool guide who's grandad was in the war and he new alot about the war and alot about veitnam. We went to another museum where apparently there are still landmines about and went to the tunnels where the Vietnamese used to live in the war for around about 6 years they would come up every 10 days if there wasnt any bombing going on. We went into the first set of tunnels where there were lights all the way down it was really interesting knowing that people actually used to live there, after that the guide asked us if we wanted to got in the tunnel with no lights so we all went for that and it was DARK completely pitch black and sods law the whole time we have been here iv had a torch in my bag but for some reason i took it out so the only light we had was the flash on our camera and someone screen on their phone, our new mate cathy led the way and it was really funny we were singing our way through the tunnel and before we new it our tour guide had left us alone!! and there was more then one way to go but we managed to get out alive!! and then we spent the rest of the day seeing a few more sites and then went back to the hostel, we went for a few drinks with the lads and we bumped into cathy, who is great!! shes from Sydney and we got on with her straight away and us 3 spent a few hours talking and she has invited us to stay with her while we are in Sydney and shes going to take us out and show us the best clubs :-D
The next day we were set to go to Hoi an
