Had a fun journey getting from the boat port in Satun Thailand to Krabi. Took a VIP coach which firstly was an hour late, there was absolutely no leg room, when it rained, and it did for most of the journey it seeped through the corners of the window and through the air conditioning unit so we kept getting blobs of water land on us and after all that they continuously played some Thai woman's music videos which were not only very dull and drove us crazy they were immensely depressing, i think most of the videos featured her trying to slit her wrists!!!! So after a fun journey we arrived at Krabi (and its raining) and we need to get a taxi to Ao Nang were we intend to stay. We jump in a "taxi" ( a pickup truck with only 4 seats) with two other couples, so we ended up sitting in the back with the bags in the rain. We finally reach Ao Nang 20 mins later where we wandered around trying to find somewhere to stay for the night. We came across a cute little place called Dream garden hostel, we had our own room with a private balcony and our private bathroom, luxury!!! We got there fairly late in the afternoon so we just got ourselves sorted and went for dinner at a Thai restaurant nearby (which became our local) had a few drinks in an Irish bar before hitting the sack.

We spent the next day checking out the place and wandering around the stalls and some shopping for both chris and myself. It was quite hot so enjoyed an iced coffee whilst both of us getting tattoos in a funky cafe/tattoo parlour. we also booked a 4 island tour for the next morning. The next morning after getting up early and getting breakfast so we were ready to be picked up by the bus for the tour at 08h30 we were informed by the receptionist that the tour company had called and it has been cancelled becuase of bad weather, we were not impressed!!! We spent the next couple of hours trying to wake up and watched telly ( i got addicted to a programme called parental control, it was very amusing i can assure you). The rest of the day we spent on the beach (when it wasn't raining). At the end of the beach we found a load of monkeys who really were cheeky, if anyone within 10 metres had any kind of food on them they managed to ambush them and steal it. they were great fun to watch as the played around and ate. that night we had a chilled out cheap night and got egg fried rice takeout from a little motorbike stall and ate it on our balcony with some beer and played cards (i kicked chris's bottom). The next morning we had a repeat of the previous morning getting ready for the boat tour, we weren't sure if it was going to be cancelled again, but they arrived which was good news. We got on our long tail boat which is the transport for the day and were taken to four different islands. the first one was Poda which was really stunning, beautiful sand and clear water, it was so peacful as well so we spent an hour or so relaxing here before heading to chicken Island (suprising becuase it looks like one) where we did some snorkling. Chris didn't last long cos he couldn't keep his long legs and feet away from the coral so he came out a little scratched and scraped. I also didn't stay too long as the fish, coral and large spiky type fishy things freaked me out. but hey i tried and i saw some fish. We then headed to Tup island where we had lunch (rice and seafood, which i picked most of the fishy bits out, it wasn't that sucessful a lunch). This island was again fab and at low tide you can walk between two islands which we just managed to do. After chilling out there for a while we went to our next stop which was Pranang Cave on Reylei island. This was really cool and we both took turns going in to the limestone cave whilst the other took pics, We then headed back to the boat ( we were an hour early as chris never informed me that the time on the camara was wrong) so we sat on the boat sunbathing and watching the rock climbers near by which was actually really impressive to see.

That night was our last night in Krabi so we went for dinner and then went to a bar down an alley full of bars and blew our budget on large bottles of Chang and played pool. we ended up playing against one of the guys who worked there but he was really good, chris managed to win once, i also did but only because he potted the black, but hey i still won. Anyway it was quite a drunken night and we stumbled home.

PS, only joking about the tattoo thing!
