Hi guys, sorry for pants communication we have just been having too much fun :) The Cameron Highlands were amazing, just so beautiful, and wet!!!! When we had arrived after a not so pleasant journey from KL we noticed that there was a mini van from every single hostel to take people back execpt to the one we had booked in, so we rather naughtly decided to forget the booking we had made (luckily we had not paid anything or provided our credit card) and hopped in a bus for Fathers guest house. I think this was just the best decision we made as it was so cute. The rooms were bunker style which were really different and suprisingly comfortable, there was a really cosy living room with comfy sofas and films were shown, as well as a place to hang out and get drunk after 22h00. We were so thankful for the living room as every afternon it rained, and when i say it rains, it really does rain.... The first afternoon when we arrived we were starving so walked in to the town had an interesting curry at a local indian then whilst wandering the heavens opened. We decied to shelter in a local coffee shop where we enjoyed the warmth for abouth an hour, but as the rain still hadn't stopped and we really couldn't face anymore coffee and cheesecake we decided to go buy an umbrella, ella, ella!!! On the way some crazy old lady from Bradford decided that she really liked my top and wanted to talk to me! (the last time i buy a blue vest top from topshop) She took it upon herself to take us shopping for a poncho like the one she was wearing! (really not very stylish) we politely went with her but managed to talk her in to letting us buy a brolly, as soon as we were equipped we did a runner back to the hostel where we spent the afternoon chilling in the living room with a beer and a film. The next day we did a countryside tour which was perfect, it was pretty much about eating and drinking all day, my kind of tour. We also got talking to a couple of the others staying at the hostel, one of the guys Jed was traveling alone and he too was partial to the whole eating and drinking thing we got on well. We visited a rose farm (took loads of pics for you Sue), a strawberry farm which is where we first started eating, fresh strawberries and ice cream, yummy! We then headed to the BOH tea plantation which happened to be owned by a Scottish man, here we experienced an interesting tour followed by garden tea and scones!!!!! We then headed to a butterfly and insect farm (me and chris were wossey and didn't hold the scorpions or any other insect for that matter). Also went to a bee farm where chris enjoyed fresh honey, a fruit and veg market and a temple (Sam Pho) which to me looked like the outside of a fancy chinese restaurant, i was vey excited, unfortuntely it wasn't! The afternoon was throwing it down so we joined everyone else in the living room to watch films, Kung fu panda being one of them, dont ask!!!!! The next day we felt like fat pies after our previous day of eating and being lazy so we decided to do a jungle trek, it was 1.5k to get to the starting point of the trek, the robinson waterfalls, then we walked through the jungle trying not to fall over as it was very wet and slippy! Chris has bets that i would fall over 8 times during the trek, may i add i did not fall once, although there were a few near misses! The trek was great fun and Chris and I played Tarzan and Jane which was fun (yes i know we are sad, simple things). After finishing the actual trail we decided to walk back to tanah rata (were we were staying) the long route (only 9 or 10k) but luckily for us there was a tea and scone shop half way. By the time we got back we were shattered so spent the evening in the lounge with the others having a drink and a chat which was really nice before leaving the next day to Penang (we had enough of the rain and were desperately seeking sunshine).
